I’ve been embracing my own calling this year more than ever, and finding some interesting hurdles and potholes along the way that sometimes slow and sometimes accelerate my progress. I’ve led my own workshop once in August, and scheduled it again recently, however with no attendance, I postponed it.
I have been pondering what stops people from choosing and living their purpose, and found the best resource was my own journey. I’ve done many things and taken some interesting detours on my journey both to derail my purpose, and also to embrace it more deeply. For example, I knew I had a calling to speak in front of audiences and facilitate their growth and unfoldment in 1986, and was even learning how to present and teach, and yet it is now 2009 and I am only now creating and presenting my true work. What happened in the 23 years in between? Life, for one thing! And some other steps that I am not proud of, yet some of the key lessons showed me what others may be dealing with, and perhaps by sharing them, I can save others (you, perhaps) the mistakes and time that I have faced.
